Lux Boreal and its Baja California Dance and Scenic Production Center

The Lux Boreal Dance Company, through an alliance with the National Pedagogical University of Mexico and the Institute of Culture of Baja California have forged a platform for the artistic professionalization, it is the Baja California Dance and Scenic Production Center, with more than ten years of trajectory every time ventures into new reaches.

On this occasion, we will premiere the show MAMA, a contemporary rethinking of the Sophocles tragedy: Oedipus Rex. Screenplay and adaptation of Andrea Rivera, whom in a very enriching process directed the emerging dancers of the CDPEBC. Rivera, whom has experience in various professional productions throughout her career, also attends the Lux Boreal educational program and is an active student of the 2017-2019 generation next to graduate in June.

MAMA is a show that involves dance, spoken word and a series of body metaphors that reveal the passing of a leader's life and the way his dreams of ambition and power weave his  own trap.

Witness the premiere of this engaging work on Saturday March 23, at the theater of the Tecate Arts Center in Baja California.

Admission is free and the appointment is at 7 pm.
